Who we are

This website, https://www.chriswaynewills.com, is operated by Chris Wayne-Wills, trading as High Performance Hospitality (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for any personal information collected through this site. You can contact us about anything in this policy at chrisww@hphpartner.com.

What information we collect and why

Booking and contact enquiries. When you send an enquiry through the form on the Book page, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, organisation, the type of enquiry, and your message. We use this information to respond to you, to assess and quote for speaking, coaching, hosting or advisory work, and to arrange any engagement that follows. The form also records the IP address the message was sent from and the date and time, which helps us detect spam and misuse. Our legal basis for processing this information is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where an engagement goes ahead, the steps needed to enter into a contract with you or your organisation.

Direct contact. If you email, phone or message us via LinkedIn instead, we hold the information you provide in the same way and for the same purposes.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and running, and are not combined with your enquiry details.

We do not collect any special category data, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for tracking, advertising or profiling. It may set strictly necessary cookies needed for the enquiry form to work, which contain no personal data. If we add analytics in future, this policy and the site will be updated to say so and to let you choose.

Third-party services

Fonts. Pages load the Poppins and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests these files from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

LinkedIn. Links to LinkedIn take you to LinkedIn’s own site, which is governed by LinkedIn’s privacy policy. We do not embed LinkedIn tracking on this site.

Email delivery. Enquiries are delivered to us by email through our web host and email provider, who process the message only to deliver it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where needed to provide our services (for example, a client organisation when arranging an engagement you have enquired about), or where the law requires it.

Where your data is stored

Enquiries are stored in our email system and, where an engagement proceeds, in our business records. Our providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations are in place.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting engagement. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months of the last contact. Records relating to completed engagements are kept for six years after the engagement ends to meet accounting and legal obligations. Server logs are retained by our host for a short rolling period, typically no more than 90 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have your information erased, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to have it transferred to another provider. To exercise any of these rights, email chrisww@hphpartner.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and enquiry emails are only accessible to Chris Wayne-Wills and any assistant working on his behalf under confidentiality obligations. No online transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and the current version will always be published on this page.
